Dr. Ernest-W. Droege

Ernest Droege has been CEO of the Droege Group, an independent investment and advisory firm that has been family-owned since it was founded in 1988, since 2018. The company combines its family business structure and capital strength into a family equity business model. The Droege Group (approx. € 14 billion turnover in 2022) is one of the 20 largest family businesses in Germany.

As CEO, Dr. Droege is responsible for the management of the firm, strategic business development, and digitalization projects. In addition to his operational duties, he is a member of the supervisory board of various companies, including the boards of the ALSO Holding AG, a leading technology provider in the ICT sector based in Switzerland.

Dr. Droege studied industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and at the ETH and University of Zurich. He completed his doctorate at RWTH Aachen University. After working in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, he joined the family-owned Droege Group.
