Dr. Alexander Dibelius

Alexander Dibelius is Managing Partner of CVC Capital Partners, one of the ten largest private equity firms in the world, and is considered one of the most well-known and most successful investment bankers in Germany.

From 2004 to 2015, he was the CEO of Goldman Sachs, one of the world’s most renowned investment banks, in the DACH region, having previously been Co-CEO of the company for three years. During his time at Goldman Sachs, he was heavily involved in many of the world’s largest merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Dr. Dibelius worked at McKinsey for six years and became partner of the firm.

Dr. Dibelius studied medicine after completing high school (with the best high school diploma in the entire state of Bavaria) and subsequently worked as a heart surgeon at Freiburg University Hospital, Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg, and Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.
