Since 2019, Christoph Werner has been CEO of dm-drogerie markt, Germany’s leading drugstore chain with over 46,000 employees and more than 2,000 dm stores, where up to two million customers shop every day, and is one of the most renowned managers in the European retail industry.
Previously, Mr. Werner was responsible for marketing and procurement in the same company since 2011 and was a regional manager for 181 stores in Bremen, Hesse, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Schleswig-Holstein after joining dm in 2010. Before joining dm, he gained extensive experience in the branded goods industry, working in the USA and France for over 15 years as a product manager at L’Oréal and as a managing director at GlaxoSmithKline.
Mr. Werner studied business administration in Karlsruhe and earned an International Executive MBA at the Katz Graduate School of Business in Pittsburgh.
