Professor Ferdinand Dudenhöffer is the founder and director of the Center Automotive Research (CAR) and CEO of ferdi research GmbH. He is considered one of the most renowned automotive experts in Germany and is often referred to as the “car pope” (original: “Autopapst”).
In addition to his work as director of the CAR, Prof. Dudenhöffer was Professor of business administration and automotive business at the University of Duisburg-Essen for over a decade after having worked as professor of marketing and leadership in Gelsenkirchen. Before that, Dr. Dudenhöffer worked as director of network development at Citroen, sales director at Peugeot, head of marketing strategies & research at Porsche, and analyst at Opel.
Professor Dudenhöffer studied economics at the University of Mannheim and received his doctoral degree in environmental economics from the same university.
