Nikolai Setzer

Nikolai Setzer is CEO of Continental AG, a leading global automotive supplier and tire manufacturer with more than 200,000 employees that develops safer, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly vehicles, and is one of Germany’s most influential top managers.

Before Mr. Setzer became CEO of Continental, he headed the company’s automotive division on the board. Prior to that, he headed the group’s tire division and corporate purchasing for a decade. Before his appointment to the board, Mr. Setzer held various management positions, among others, in the areas original equipment, product development, and PLT replacement. Mr. Setzer began his career in the test tire and tire development engineering department at Continental.

Mr. Setzer studied industrial engineering in Darmstadt and Bordeaux.
