About Margret Suckale

Margret Suckale is one of the most renowned top managers in Europe and is member of the supervisory boards of Deutsche Telekom, Europe’s biggest telecommunication company with more than 200,000 employees and over 100 billion euros in revenue, HeidelbergCement, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of building materials with over 50,000 employees, and Infineon Technologies, Germany’s largest semiconductor manufacturer with more than 50,000 employees. Previously, she was president of the German Chemical Employers’ Association (BAVC) e. V. and member of the management board and HR director at BASF, after having been Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Deutsche Bahn and DB Mobility Logistics AG. Ms. Suckale began her career at Mobil Oil AG in Hamburg.

Ms. Suckale was the first woman on the management board of BASF and, as a board member of Deutsche Bahn, was for a long time the only female board member of the 100 largest companies in Germany. She was awarded “Manager of the Year” by Mestemacher in 2008.

Ms. Suckale studied law at the University of Hamburg. She then obtained an MBA at WHU and Northwestern University.
