Ingrid Hofmann founded I. K. Hofmann GmbH in 1985 with the vision of revolutionizing the world of work through pioneering work and is one of the most renowned and successful entrepreneurs in Germany. Today, the company is one of the largest personnel service providers in Germany and Austria with around 17,000 employees in 90 locations.
Ms. Hofmann is active in the Federal Employers’ Association of Personnel Service Providers (BAP), and the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations (BDA), among others. Since 2010, she has been a member of the Administrative Board of the Federal Employment Agency, to which she was appointed by the former Federal Minister of Labor, Ursula von der Leyen.
Ms. Hofmann was voted “Entrepreneur of the Year 2002” and received the State Medal for Special Services to the Bavarian Economy in 2006. In 2007, she was presented with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by the former President Horst Köhler. The Financial Times has named Ms. Hofmann as one of Germany’s top three female entrepreneurs.
