Erich Harsch

Erich Harsch is CEO of Hornbach, a family firm and leading company in the DIY sector in Germany and Europe with 169 DIY and garden centers, and is one of the most renowned managers in the European retail industry.

Before becoming CEO of Hornbach, Mr. Harsch was CEO of dm-drogerie markt, Europe’s largest drugstore chain with 90,000 employees, after having served as Deputy CEO of dm and interim head of the firm’s Human Resources department. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of the IT subsidiary “Filiadata” and responsible for dm’s Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate regions. Mr. Harsch began his career in dm’s IT department.

Mr. Harsch studied law in Vienna.
