Dr. Dominik von Achten

Dr. Dominik von Achten is CEO of Heidelberg Materials, a leading company in innovative building materials, especially cement, concrete, and aggregates, with more than 57,000 employees worldwide, and is one of the most renowned top managers in Germany.

Before his appointment as CEO of Heidelberg Materials, Dr. von Achten worked as Chief Digital Officer of the company after being responsible for the firm’s Western and Southern Europe operations, head of the Competence Center Materials, and deputy CEO. Prior to that, Dr. von Achten was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and worked in New York and Helsinki, among others, most recently as partner of the company. He started his career in the legal area at the Munich Higher Regional Court and Traunstein Regional Court.

Dr. von Achten studied law and economics at the University of Freiburg and University of Munich. He completed the second state examination in law and received his doctorate in economic policy.
