Andrea Orcel is CEO of UniCredit, one of Europe’s largest and most valuable banks headquartered in Milan, Italy, with approximately 75,000 employees, and is widely recognized as one of the best, most influential, and highest-profile bankers and top managers in Europe and the world.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of UniCredit, Mr. Orcel served on the Group Executive Board of UBS, where his roles included President of Investment Bank and CEO of UBS Limited and UBS AG London. Before that, he spent two decades at Merrill Lynch (later Bank of America), holding positions such as Executive Chairman of the Investment Bank and President of International Global Banking and Emerging Markets, among many others. Mr. Orcel began his career at Midland Bank in London.
Mr. Orcel studied economics at Sapienza University of Rome and earned an MBA from INSEAD.
